Turkey Trendsetter Recipe Contest
CONTEST RULES
Restaurants & Institutions and the National Turkey Federation (collectively, “Administrators”) are conducting a Turkey Trendsetter Recipe Contest to identify and profile innovative turkey recipes.
HOW TO ENTER
Submissions will be accepted online at https://foodservice411.com/contests/turkeyfed/form.asp through April 22, 2005. Alternatively, send postal mail entries to Alison Otto, Restaurants & Institutions, , . Photos showing the presentation of the recipe are encouraged but not required. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE
The contest is open to contestants who reside in the United States, its territories and possessions. Void where prohibited by law. Registrants must be 18 years of age or older on the date of entry. Multiple entries from the same person are permitted. Employees of Administrators and their affiliate companies, subsidiaries, agencies or family members are not eligible to win.
PRIZES
One First Place Winner will receive an Edlund Five Star Mechanical Scale (Model DOU), with an approximate retail value of $379. One Second Place Winner will receive an Edlund Stainless Steel Knife Block (Model KBS), with an approximate retail value of $185. One Third Place Winner will receive a set of Edlund Stainless Steel Tongs (Models 44HDL, 64HDL, 7412, and 8412), with an approximate retail value of $43. Aggregate approximate retail value of all prizes is $607.
JUDGING
Selection of winners will take place at Reed Business Information, Oak Brook, IL. Selection will be made by a panel of 4 judges judges designated by Reed Business Information with expertise in foodservice recipe development. The order in which entries are reviewed will be determined randomly. Entries will be judged based upon originality, creativity, taste, and practicality for the foodservice industry. All decisions of the judges shall be final.
IF YOU WIN
A representative from R&I will contact the first place, second place and third place winners by e-mail or telephone the week of May 2, 2005. In addition, a list of winners will be posted on R&I’s website located at foodservice411.com for at least sixty (60) days after selection. Prize fulfillment is the responsibility of the Turkey Federation. The products will be shipped from Devine & Pearson to the winner's supplied address within 60 days of announcing the winner. The prizes are not redeemable for Edlund credit or cash. Merchandise may not be returned.
The First Place Recipe will be published in an e-mail newsletter to be distributed on or around May 18, 2005 by Restaurants & Institutions and sent to the publication's online audience.
LEGAL LIABILITY
Administrators reserve the right to cancel or modify the contest if fraud, technical failure, non-authorized human intervention, or any other cause destroys the integrity of the contest.
Entries that do not comply with any of these rules will be disqualified. By submitting your entry, you grant Administrators the right and license to reproduce, publish, distribute and display your entry materials, and portions thereof, on their respective web sites, in Restaurants & Institutions magazine, and in any related publications in all media (including email), and to advertise the same, and you represent and warrant: (a) that the work depicted in your entry is your own original creation, that Administrators’ use and publication of your entry materials will not infringe upon or otherwise violate any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret or other intellectual property right, any right of publicity, privacy or other personal right or any law, rule or regulation; (b) that all information provided with your entry is accurate and complete; (c) that you have obtained all necessary licenses and releases from persons who are, or hold any rights to objects, depicted in your entry materials (and if you provide images of your entry, any photographers or other persons engaged in creating such images) so that Administrators will not incur any obligation or liability to them based upon their use or publication of your entry materials. Entry materials will not be returned. Sponsor is not liable for lost, stolen, illegible, misdirected, damaged or mutilated entries. Winners will be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and publicity/liability release within thirty (30) days of notification or may be disqualified. Taxes and other expenses on the awards are the sole responsibility of the winners.
