Don Hires Sales V.P., Expands In California

Edward Don & Co., North Riverside, Ill., has named Jeffery Weiland as its new vice president of Sales.

Weiland, whose appointment was effective on Oct. 4, will be responsible for three of the dealer’s sales regions: Chicago Local, Chicago Long-Haul and Dallas.

Weiland comes to Don from W.W. Grainger, a distributor of facilities maintenance products, where he worked for 14 years and most recently served as vice president of Sales.

Don has also announced that it has moved into a new distribution center in California, moving from its Ontario, Calif., location to a facility in Mira Loma. According to the company, at 110,000-square-feet the new distribution center is twice the size of the old location.

“We’re growing. Our customers are growing. Doubling our distribution center space was a strategic move to accommodate our West Coast customers better and further improve our efficiency,”said Steve Don, the dealer’s president and CEO.
