NSF Offers Online Training
NSF International has made its HealthGuard Professional Food Manager Certification training course available online.
The online course is based upon the original HealthGuard certification but, according to NSF, “represents a new and more flexible approach to food safety training.”It is designed for managers and staff of restaurants, supermarkets and other foodservices.
The course includes information on foodborne illness, employee health and hygiene, potentially hazardous foods, cleaning and sanitizing, pest control and HACCP standards. It also offers training for all Conference for Food Protection (CFP) certification exams.
The course is available at the NSF Center for Public Health Education web site. Online demos are posted at www.nsf.org/cphe.
