Acorto Execs Acquire Company Assets

Executives of Acorto, a Seattle-based manufacturer of espresso equipment, have acquired the assets of the firm and opened Concordia Coffee Systems.

The new company said it plans to invest in technologies that will extend its offerings to include highly automated self-serve espresso cafes and kiosks.

In conjunction with the announcement, Concordia revealed that it has signed a $1.3 million contract with U.K.-based Coffee Nation to provide that company with customized machines that include payment systems and order tracking, among other features.
