WRA Names Officers, Members
The Washington Restaurant Association (WRA) has announced that it has selected four new officers for its board of directors for 2004-05. They include:
* Paul Childers of Clancy's Family Restaurant in Vancouver, who was elected the board’s chair. Childers has been in the restaurant industry for 46 years and most recently served as Vice Chair and Chair of the Government Affairs Committee.
* Peter Braun of Orchard Foods, in Silverdale, who was elected to the position of vice chair. Last year, Braun served as secretary/treasurer of the WRA board.
* Michael Carr of Bellevue's Schwartz Brothers Restaurants, who began a three-year term with the board of directors last year, has been elected secretary/treasurer.
* Bill Cheung, owner of Williams Restaurant Management in Kelso, will serve WRA as immediate past chair.
In addition, Maureen "Mo" Shaw, general manager of Ray's Boathouse in Seattle, was named the newest member of WRA’s board.
