MAFSI, FEDA Announce Preliminary 2005 Educational Program Info

MAFSI and FEDA, the membership associations for manufacturers’representatives and dealers, respectively, have released preliminary information on their 2005 educational programs.

MAFSI has announced plans to continue its Technology Roadshows. In the spring of 2005 sessions will be conducted in Portland, Ore; Houston; Washington, D.C.; San Francisco; Anaheim, Calif., and either Cincinnati or Cleveland. Exact dates will be announced shortly, MAFSI indicated.

According to the association, since the program’s inception in February 2003, MAFSI roadshows have educated more than 1,900 foodservice professionals, including reps, manufacturers, dealers, consultants, service agents and operators.

FEDA, the association for foodservice equipment dealers, has said that in 2005 it will host regional sales boot camps for dealer sales representatives.

This program will follow its 2004 Train the Trainer series, which was designed as a educational tool for dealer sales managers. A total of 156 individuals representing 56 dealerships attended one of the regional Train the Trainer sessions this year.
