NRA Releases 2005 Forecast
The National Restaurant Association has released its Industry forecast for 2005.
According to the NRA, total sales at the country’s 900,000 restaurants should reach a record $476 billion next year, an increase of approximately 4.9% compared to 2004.
Full-service restaurants are projected to post $164.8 billion in sales next year, an increase of about 5% vs. 2004. Limited-service restaurants are forecasted to hit $134.2 billion in sales, a 4.7% year-over-year increase.
The NRA also said that more than 54% of limited-service operations plan to dedicate a higher portion of their budget to remodeling in 2005, with the focus on using interior design and ambiance to attract customers.
