Starbucks Expanding Food Experiments: Report

The Starbucks coffee chain is reportedly considering expanding its hot food sales.

According to an article in The New York Daily News, the chain last year began offering hot breakfast and lunch sandwiches in 20 West-Coast stores. That experiment has since expanded to 80 units, and the company is considering of a national rollout.

According to a stock analyst quoted in the article, the sandwiches are prepared by caterers off-site and re-heated when ordered.
