Report: Schlotzsky’s Sold

A bankruptcy judge has approved the sale of substantially all the assets of bankrupt sandwich shop chain Schlotzsky’s, according to a report in The Dallas Morning News.

The Austin-based chain’s assets were acquired by Bobby Cox Cos. for $28.5 million in cash. The acquiring company, owned by restaurateur Bobby Cox, plans to take the chain private.

The sale is expected to close by Dec. 31.
