Dover Names DIFC President

Dover Systems Inc. has appointed Bill Strenglis as president of DI Foodservice Cos. (DIFC), effective Jan. 3, 2005.

“Dover’s commitment to DIFC, its customers and its employees is evidenced by the appointment of Bill Strenglis as president of DIFC,”said Dover Chief Executive Officer Ralph Coppola. “Bill will lead DIFC in its pursuit of market initiatives to partner with customers to provide the highest quality foodservice equipment.”

Strenglis, a 30-year veteran of the food industry, joins DIFC from Mrs. Smith’s Bakeries, a $650 million former operating division of Flowers Foods, where he most recently held the position of president and COO. Strenglis started his career with Flowers Industries in 1991, after having successfully built and sold his own company to Flowers that same year. During his 13-year career at Flowers Foods, Strenglis held several executive positions and experienced solid growth in revenue and earnings in many areas.

DI Foodservice Cos. (DIFC) and its Groen, Randell and Avtec brands have leading industry positions in steam technology, cook-chill production systems, custom fabrication, foodservice refrigeration, ventilation and air handling systems.
