Henny Penny Earns Energy Star

Eaton, Ohio-based Henny Penny announced two of its fryer lines have received Energy Star certification.

The manufacturer's OFE and OEA 320 series of electric open fryers earned the certification, which recognizes products for high levels of energy efficiency, from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

To earn the Energy Star mark, an electric fryer must attain at least 80% cooking efficiency for a three-pound load of french fries at an idle energy rate of 1,000 watts.

These are the second and third Henny Penny lines to earn Energy Star certification. The company's HHC-900 line of hot holding cabinets also has received the designation.
