MAFSI Auction Nets $10,000-Plus
MAFSI announced that its Third Annual Silent Auction, held during the joint NAFEM/MAFSI conference last month in Miami, raised more than $10,000.
MAFSI plans to split one quarter of the proceeds between tsunami relief efforts and a fund for families of fallen U.S. soldiers. A portion of the money raised will also benefit a foodservice educational foundation.
MAFSI also formally recognized the individuals and organizations that donated cash and items for the auction. Among those singled out by the organization were MAFSI Region 17-Chicago, which donated $1,000, and MAFSI Region 12 —Southeast Central, which contributed $500.
