Halpern Retiring from TriMark

TriMark USA announced that Bob Halpern, the firm’s president, will retire at the end of the month.

Halpern has served as president of the TriMark USA roll-up since 1999, the year after he sold United East to Bradford Equities. That sale led to the formation of TriMark USA. The roll-up now consists of five divisions that recorded $200 million in sales in 2003, according FE&S’Distribution Giants report.

“After 45 years of hard work in the industry, it is time to relax and enjoy what I have worked for,”said Halpern, who will remain an adviser to the firm and a member of its board of directors.

Replacing Halpern in the president’s role in Jerry Hyman, head of TriMark United East. Hyman will continue to lead United East until a successor to that position can be named.
