EDI Honors McDonough
The EDI Marketing Group gave Hobart President John McDonough the inaugural Lee Scruggs Lifetime Partnership award.
The award is named after the former head of the Scruggs division of Strategic Equipment & Supply, who passed away last year after a battle with cancer.
“Lee was always pushing the relationship end of the industry. He believed that business can be done with trust and with a handshake. Those are characteristics that are imbued in John’s philosophy on business,”said Bill Byrne, director of EDI.
The award was presented earlier this week during EDI’s annual conference, during which a toast was made in Scruggs’memory, Byrne added.
The honor will not be given out annually, stated Byrne. Rather, it will be presented at the choosing of EDI’s leadership.
