McDonald’s Exploring Call Centers

McDonald’s is considering utilizing call centers to take drive-thru orders, according to multiple published reports.

At an investor conference hosted by Bear Sterns, McDonald’s CEO Jim Skinner said the chain is exploring remote call centers in order to speed up wait times in drive-thrus and improve order accuracy.

At the same time, such a system would allow restaurant employees to focus on customer service.
