UL Names New Leader

Underwriters Laboratories, Northbrook, Ill., named Keith Williams its new president and CEO. He replaces Loring Knoblauch, who retired last August.

Prior to joining UL, Williams worked as senior vice president of Medtronic, where he focused on diversifying the company’s Asia-Pacific business. He also served as the company’s senior quality and regulatory officer.

“I was drawn to UL’s public safety mission and the opportunity to takes its global business to the next level,” Williams said.
