NRAEF Names New Leadership

The National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation named three individuals to leadership posts.

Ferdinand Metz was named NRAEF chairman for the 2005 – 2006 term. Metz, who served as vice chair from 2004 – 2005, is also president emeritus of The Culinary Institute of America.

Raphael Kavanaugh became the group’s vice chairman for the term. Kavanaugh is a professor and head of the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Purdue University.

Ruben Villavicencio was elected to the post of treasurer of the board of trustees. Villavicencio currently serves as president and CEO of R&M Food Services in Brea, Calif.
