Sysco Taps Rosencrance to Lead Spokane Operation

Houston-based SYSCO Corp. named Layton R. Rosencrance president and chief executive officer of Sysco Food Services of Spokane, a broadline subsidiary located in Post Falls, Idaho. The branch’s territory spans eastern Washington, eastern Oregon and northern Idaho.

Rosencrance, who serves as general manager of that operation, assumes his new position on July 3, the start of SYSCO's fiscal year 2006. He succeeds Scott A. Sonnemaker, who will become chairman of the Spokane operation and continue in his role as president and chief executive officer of SYSCO's Portland, Ore., operating company.

The 54-year old Rosencrance joined Sysco Food Services of Portland in 1995 as a SYSCO brand manager for foodservice equipment and supplies and has steadily climbed through the organization’s ranks since. Prior to joining SYSCO, he served for 21 years in the food industry, including management positions with S.E. Rykoff, PYA/Monarch and ownership of his own food brokerage business.
