DQ Testing TreatWorks Concept
Dairy Queen will debut a new treats-focused concept this month, according to the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.
TreatWorks stores will focus on ice cream and other dessert products. Hot dogs are the only non-dessert item these units will offer, according to the article. A new TreatWorks unit requires an investment of about $700,000, while converting a store to the concept costs about $450,000.
The company will initially test the concept in two locations, one in Pennsylvania and Mexico, while planning for other locations.
