NRAEF, CHART Present ProStart Scholarship

The National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation and the Council of Hotel and Restaurant Trainers presented Michelle Garcia a $2,500 scholarship to pursue a career in the restaurant and foodservice industry.

Garcia, a Chicago resident, participates in NRAEF’s ProStart program, a two-year curriculum designed to teach foodservice management skills to high-school students. Garcia plans to attend the Culinary Institute of America in the fall.

The scholarship was presented during CHART’s 69 th Semi-Annual Training Conference in Boston.
