Andrews New Buffets CEO

Buffets Holdings, parent company of Buffets Inc., named R. Michael Andrews Jr. its new CEO. He replaces Roe Hatlen, who served in this capacity for the past year on an interim basis and is the company’s co-founder.

Andrews joined Buffets Inc. more than five years ago and most recently served as its COO. Prior to joining Buffets Inc., Andrews served 12 years in public accounting with KPMG Peat Marwick LLP and held senior financial management posts at Don Pablo's Restaurants and Jekyll & Hyde Clubs.

Buffets operates 353 restaurants in 33 states, including 344 buffet restaurants and nine Tahoe Joe's Famous Steakhouse restaurants. The buffet restaurants are principally operated under the Old Country Buffet or HomeTown Buffet brands. Buffets also franchises 18 buffet restaurants in seven states.
