Chain Earnings Report
Aramark, CKE and Ruth’s Chris are among the multi-unit operators to post financial results.
- For its 2005 fiscal year, Aramark reported sales totaled $11 billion, an 8% increase over the previous year. For the fourth quarter, the company reported sales of $2.8 billion, an increase of 6% over the prior year quarter. Net income rose 8% to $92 million.
- CKE Restaurants announced third-quarter sales at its Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s brands declined by 0.1% and 3.5%, respectively. For the four-week period ended Nov. 7, 2005, sales at Carl’s Jr. increased 3.2%, while Hardee’s experienced a 0.9% decrease.
- For its third quarter ended Oct. 3, 2005, Cosi reported total revenues increased to $30.8 million, compared to $28.2 million in 2004’s third quarter. The company also announced that same-store sales increased by 7.8% over the third quarter of 2004.
- Ruth's Chris Steak House reported a 10.1% increase in total revenue to $46.5 million for its fiscal third quarter ended Sept. 25, 2005. Comparable restaurant sales increased 10.7% at company-owned restaurants and 3.0% at franchised restaurants.
