Chain Expansion Report

Rubio’s and Ruth’s Chris reported expansion updates.

Carlsbad, Calif.-based Rubio's Fresh Mexican Grill announced plans to open its first two in-arena restaurant locations in early 2006 at the Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim, Calif. The restaurants are part of a four-year partnership.

Last week, Ruth's Chris Steak House Inc. re-opened its restaurant in Metairie, La., after being closed due to damage inflicted by Hurricane Katrina. This location originally opened in 1972. The company also announced plans for a new restaurant location in Ocean City, Md. The fine-dining steakhouse is planning to open at 11501 Maid at Arms Way in the Glen Riddle Clubhouse in spring 2006.
