Operators Project 2006 E&S Budgets

According to FE&S’ 2006 Industry Forecast, 34 percent of operators expect to increase their equipment and supplies budget in 2006.

In addition, 46 percent expect their budgets to remain the same as 2005, while 20 percent anticipate the funds allocated for equipment and supplies expenditures will decrease in the coming year.

Looking at the non-commercial segment, 42 percent of the operators surveyed anticipate their 2006 E&S budget will increase, 36 percent expect it to remain consistent with this year’s level, while 22 percent anticipate a decrease.

Among commercial operators, 29 percent expect their E&S budget to increase, while 51 percent expect it to remain consistent with 2005 levels. Approximately 20 percent of the commercial operators anticipate their E&S budgets decreasing in the coming year.
