Applebee’s Chief Executive Officer to Step Down in the Summer
Applebee’s International Inc. CEO Lloyd Hill, 62, announced he will step down from his position of eight years this summer, but will remain board chairman in an effort to separate both positions, according to reports published in the Kansas City Star Telegram. He was elected chairman of the board in May 2000.
Hill’s successor has not yet been named, although company execs have pegged Dave Goebel, 55, president and chief operating officer of the Overland Park, Kan.-based chain, as the likely replacement. Until then, Goebel will assume more responsibilities, but still report to Hill.
