Chain Operating Report

McDonald’s and Frisch’s were among companies announcing financial results this week.

  • McDonald’s reported revenues increased 4 percent for its fiscal fourth quarter, which ended Dec. 31. For its complete 2005 fiscal year, revenues increased 7 percent compared to 2004. Same-store sales rose 3.9 percent in 2005.
  • Frisch’s Restaurants Inc. reported revenues rose .3 percent for its fiscal second quarter, which ended Dec. 11. Same-store sales decreased 10.7 percent for its Golden Corral restaurants and 1.8 percent for its Big Boy restaurants.
  • Brinker International announced revenues for the second quarter of its 2006 fiscal year, which ended Dec. 28, rose to $1,009.1 million from $909.7 million for the same period of 2005. Same-store sales for that period rose 2.2 percent.
  • Rubio’s Restaurants Inc. reported revenues for 2005 rose 2.4 percent from $137 million for 2004. Same-store sales for the fourth quarter, which ended Dec. 25, increased 4.3 percent.
