FE&S Announces Hall of Fame & Top Achiever Recipient

Foodservice Equipment & Supplies has named the recipients of its annual Hall of Fame and Top Achiever awards. The magazine will honor these five individuals during its upcoming Dealer of the Year and Industry Awards Gala, scheduled for the evening of May 20 at Chicago’s Peninsula Hotel.

Recognizing his lifetime of achievement in foodservice distribution, FE&S tapped Howard Fishman of Cleveland-based S.S. Kemp as the magazine’s 2006 Hall of Fame inductee. Under Fishman’s direction, S.S. Kemp earned FE&S Dealer of the Year honors in 1988. He also served as a president of the Foodservice Equipment Distributors Association (FEDA).

In addition, FE&S announced its 2006 Top Achiever designees are:

• Top Achiever-Dealer: The Employee Owners of R.W. Smith & Co., which is headquartered in San Diego
• Top Achiever-Consultant: Mark Godward, president, SRE, Miami
• Top Achiever-Manufacturers' Rep: Jim Zink, president, Zink Marketing, Westerville, Ohio
• Top Achiever-Service Agent: Roger Kauffman, EMR, Baltimore

FE&S recognizes these E&S professionals for developing businesses that have raised the bar for market dominance and progressive management, equitable and honorable dealings with customers and channel partners and making meaningful contributions to their trade associations and the industry at-large.

The 2006 Dealer of the Year Banquet and Industry Awards Gala will commence at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail hour for networking and reconnecting with colleagues and friends. Immediately following is dinner, during which the magazine will recognize its 2006 Dealer of the Year, Concept Services of Austin, Texas, and its Hall of Fame and Top Achiever award winners outlined above. Once dinner is complete, guests are invited to adjourn to a special reception featuring live jazz.
