Chain Expansion Report
Bennigan’s, McCormick & Schmick’s and Red Robin, among other companies, release expansion information.
- Bennigan’s Grill and Tavern opened two restaurants in South Korea, one in Seoul and the other in Ulsan. The new locations bring the chain’s international restaurant count to 45.
- McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurants Inc. opened a restaurant in Columbus, Ohio, the company’s first location in that state.
- RedBrick Pizza Worldwide, a California-based gourmet pizza chain, opened a location in Altamonte Sprints, Fla., the first in the state, according to a published report in the Orlando Sentinel. Franchise owners Paul Chong and Dan Dumont said they plan to open at least 300 locations throughout Florida, 25 to 30 of which will be in the Orlando area.
- Red Robin announced plans to open a restaurant in Shenandoah, Texas, according to a published report in the Houston Business Journal. This will mark the chain’s third location in the Houston-area.
- Ruby Tuesday announced plans to open four restaurants in the Central and Western provinces of Saudi Arabia under an agreement with franchisee Marssana International Trading Co.
