Krispy Kreme Names Brewster President and CEO

Krispy Kreme’s board of directors elected Daryl Brewster as president and chief executive officer effective immediately. Brewster most recently served as president of Kraft Foods’ North American Snacks & Cereals Sector, and replaces Stephen Cooper, interim CEO since Jan. 2005.

Brewster has more than 23 years of experience in the foodservice industry and has been with Kraft/Nabisco since 1997, where he held a variety of positions including president of Nabisco Biscuit Co. He has also served on the board of directors for E*Trade, the American Marketing Association, and the Biscuit and Crackers Manufacturer’s Association.

Cooper will remain with Krispy Kreme as the company’s chief restructuring officer during a period of management transition.
