Victory Refrigeration Wins 2006 Energy Star Partner of the Year Award

Victory Refrigeration, a division of AGA Foodservice, was named a 2006 Energy Star Partner of the Year through the program sponsored by the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Energy. Victory is the first foodservice manufacturer to achieve this recognition, according to Kate Lewis, marketing manager for the Energy Star program.

More than 8,000 businesses and organizations participate in the Energy Star program, which was established in 1992 by the EPA to identify and promote the creation of energy-efficient products that work to reduce greenhouse gasses, according to the EPA’s web site.

This year, a total of 68 businesses and organizations received Partner of the Year awards, broken down into categories for the manufacturing, retailing and managing of innovative, energy-efficient products, according to an EPA spokeswoman. Typically, award winners include grocery stores, car manufacturers, utility companies and other major businesses.

More than 480 Victory refrigerators have earned tier-one or tier-two Energy Star ratings, according to the company.
