Chain Expansion Report
Krispy Kreme, Red Robin and Village Inn report expansion information.
- Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Inc. announced it awarded Hong Kong and Macau development rights to Krispy Kreme Hong Kong Ltd., which is operated by Hong Kong-based businessmen Wayne and Brian Parfitt. The agreement calls for the development of about 20 Hong Kong locations during the next five years, with the first location to open this fall.
- Red Robin Gourmet Burgers plans to open a restaurant in Whittier, Calif., on June 12, the chain’s 60th restaurant in California.
- Village Inn Restaurant announced plans to open a restaurant in Cedar Park, Texas, on June 26. The chain currently consists of 301 company-owned restaurants and 99 franchised units.
