Yum! Brands named Dallas-based APW Wyott its 2005 Yum! STAR Global Equipment Supplier of the Year. Yum! annually presents the award to a vendor for supplier excellence. APW Wyott also received the KFC 2005 STAR Vendor of the Year Award, marking the 5th consecutive year the manufacturer received that recognition.

Onalaska, Wis.-based Hospitality International named Chris Hoghaug regional sales manager for the western half of the United States for its Carroll Chair Co. and LaCrosse Cooler Co. subsidiaries. Hoghaug most recently served as national sales and marketing manager with Wincraft.

Concord, N.H.-based Pitco Frialator received a STAR Supplier award from Long John Silvers, a Yum! Brands concept. Pitco received the award in large part for developing the Flat Bottom Fish Fryer, a new piece of equipment that was designed for the Long John Silvers brand.

Panera Bread, Richmond Heights, Mo., was highlighted recently in the Wall Street Journal’s “Shareholder Scoreboard” for its performance on the stock market over the past decade. According to Panera, the company led the scoreboard’s restaurant category with a one-year investment return of 63 percent, a five-year return of 42 percent and a 10-year return of 32 percent.

Davenport, Iowa-based American Safety Training, a provider of train-the-trainer safety courses, released its "Essentials of Safety" seminar schedule for June and July 2006. The class dates and locations are: June 6-9 in Manchester, Conn.; June 6-9 in Indianapolis; June 12-15 in Dallas; June 12-15 in Saddle Brook, N.J.; June 20-23 in Elkridge, Md.; June 20-23 in San Antonio; June 26-29, in Houston; June 26-29 in Bensalem, Pa.; July 11-14, in Memphis, Tenn.; July 11-14, in Pittsburgh; July 17-20 in Romulus, Mich.; July 17-20 in Metairie, La.; July 25-28 in Tucker, Ga.; and July 25-28 in Tinley Park, Ill.

Matthew Lackmann, the co-chair and CEO of Woodbury, N.Y.-based on-site foodservice provider Lackmann Culinary, was selected by Long Island Business News for recognition as one of 40 Long Islanders under the age of 40 who have made significant contributions to the enhancement of Long Island.
